The 8R collects the award a year after its naked stablemate, the GSX-8S, won the award for Best Naked.<\/p>\n<p>The award makes it two awards in two years for Suzuki\u2019s\u00a0776cc parallel twin engine\u00a0platform,\u00a0which\u00a0has\u00a0won\u00a0favour\u00a0with press and customers alike thanks to its punchy power delivery and flexibility.<\/p>\n<p>The GSX-8R was heralded as \u2018a sublime bit of kit\u2019 by the world famous motorcycling\u00a0newspaper, and\u00a0praised for being \u2018cracking fun to ride\u2019 and for being \u2018living proof that\u00a0sportsbikes\u00a0can be fun,\u00a0comfortable\u00a0and capable, without breaking the bank, as it blends sportiness with everyday usability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jak Tyrrell, Suzuki GB\u2019s\u00a0senior motorcycle\u00a0marketing\u00a0manager, said after collecting the award,<\/strong>\u00a0<em>\u201cIt\u2019s obviously really pleasing to see the 8R\u00a0recognised\u00a0as the great bike it is, but, for us, it\u2019s also great to see that our\u00a0latest\u00a0engine\u00a0platform\u00a0is clearly a leading light in the middleweight\u00a0category, with two MCN awards in two years.
